Epi Skinis Team-Acting Teacher

I was born in Piraeus, Attica 35 years ago but I grew up and lived in Voula, by the sea. From a young age I remember saying that I want to become an actor and so that was the reason for me to study Theatrology at the University of Patras. There I participated in many seminars on acting, directing and improvisation and so I tried for the first time to direct the musical Grease with the university theatrical team, receiving excellent reviews from the audience of Patras, Athens and Serres where our work was presented! At the same time, I was honored to belong to the first cast of the play "Who was the Lord?" of Iakovos Kampanellis who was presented at the University of Patras at a conference in honor of the author, in his presence.

As you can understand, the germ of Theater "ignited" inside me and so, finishing my studies, I decided to continue my studies in acting in Athens for 4 years. I am therefore proud to declare myself an Excellent Graduate of the Academy of Art of the IEK Akmi Group. This was followed by many acting and movement seminars at the Theater of Changes, short films and participation in video clips.

Later I participated in many performances, at the Athens and Delphi Festival with the performance of Michael Marmarinos "In which country", I worked as a director and writer of the work "Towards where for love?" presented at the Elysee Theater in Athens, as an actress at the Spring Theater in a children's play alongside Despina Stylianopoulou, as public relations and production manager at the Theater "Under the Bridge" etc. I have undertaken amateur and professional theatrical groups and I have prepared students for entrance exams to the Drama Schools! In addition, I have offered courses and seminars to professionals of various specialties on how to present work, meetings and in general to prepare a presentation and how to manage the stress and pressure of the exhibition to the public!

I have attended seminars on physical theater, vocal, theatrical play, musical from the award-winning school of America Jacob Pillow etc. I am in love with my profession and I believe that the Theater unites people and offers "light" in the difficult moments of our daily life… I would like to look for this light with you…

Maria Komninakidou

External Collaborator Epi Skinis- Vocal Teacher

My name is Maria Komninakidou. I am 33 years old and I was born and raised in Thessaloniki. I am a graduate of the higher drama school 'Andreas Voutsinas', certified by the Ministry of Culture and Sports. After graduating, I worked as an actor in various performances in Thessaloniki and organized theatrical acting classes, mainly for children. I have studied orthophony of speech and lyric song (lyrical coloratura) under the guidance of sopranos Mrs. Zeta Giouli and Mrs. Maria Preka. From 2014 until today, I teach private lessons orthophony and lyric singing.

Together we will start a vocal journey, useful both in life and in your stage presence. We will study the technique of breathing and we will learn to exercise our body and face, so that they support the requirements of speech. We will learn to position our voice and we will deal with techniques of amplifying the volume and volume of the voice. We will learn how to 'warm up' the voice and will follow addressing exercises as well as controlling the rhythm and coloring of speech.
